Jerold L. Hersh

Mr. Hersh’s practice focuses on employment litigation.  Mr. Hersh is currently representing the California Public Utilities Commission in an employment discrimination class action.  He has substantial experience representing large private and public entities in all phases of high-stakes civil litigation and dispute resolution in a variety of arenas.  Mr. Hersh has also successfully handled various school district disputes.
 

Mr. Hersh previously worked for more than five years at DLA Piper (formerly Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich), where he represented companies such as Hewlett-Packard and Toshiba Corporation in intellectual property and other commercial litigation.  He has also litigated Internet-related disputes, including defamation cases involving the right to publish criticism of service providers.

Mr. Hersh received his law degree from University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he was on the Negotiations Team, for which he has subsequently served as a coach.  Prior to law school, Mr. Hersh advised banks and other organizations regarding enterprise risk management strategies, asset-liability management, and regulatory issues.  Mr. Hersh received a B.B.A. in Accounting from the College of William and Mary.
