Jonathan D. Martin has extensive experience advising and representing employers in federal and state courts as well as administrative proceedings. Prior to joining Ruiz & Sperow, LLP, he worked for nearly 10 years at a major national law firm practicing labor and employment law. He has defended employers in connection with numerous types of claims such as discrimination, harassment, defamation, disability, family and medical leave, wage and hour, fraud, and breach of contract. He also counsels clients regarding day-to-day employment-related issues. Mr. Martin has given presentations to various employer and human resources groups regarding topics of interest to employers such as workplace privacy and hiring issues and recent developments in discrimination law.

Mr. Martin was admitted to the California bar in 1997. He is also a member of the New York and New Jersey bars. Along with his law firm experience, Mr. Martin worked as an in-house counsel for a multi-faceted company based in southern California, where he handled employment, real estate, corporate, transactional, litigation and other matters.
