Since its inception, Ruiz & Sperow, LLP has provided full service legal resources to an array of public and private sector clients, including, school districts, community college districts, cities and counties, nonprofit corporations, and businesses throughout the state.

We handle all facets of employment and disability law including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, disability accommodation, employee discipline and termination, and medical leave matters for public and private employers of all sizes. In the area of labor relations, we represent management in issues such as collective bargaining, arbitrations, strikes, and unfair practice proceedings and regularly advise on contract implementation and interpretation. In representing K-12 education and higher education clients, we address issues such as student assignment and student diversity; free speech and academic freedom; religious accommodation; student discipline; special education and/or disability accommodation; and faculty and staff discipline and terminations. We recognize that these practice areas, like our clients’ needs, are not static. Thus, we are committed to not only staying abreast of the numerous legal developments but also ensuring that our services are continually matching our clients’ needs.
Within our practice areas, we have gained statewide prominence for our creative and pro-active approach to problem-solving. We work collaboratively with our clients to develop uniform policies, procedures, and forms to address recurring situations. We conduct comprehensive audits of policies and/or departments to provide recommendations on cost savings and best practices, and then assist our clients in implementing such measures.
