Sander van der Heide

Mr. van der Heide represents and advises businesses and public entities in employment, education, and business litigation matters. He has experience with class action, as well as, single plaintiff cases in both state and federal courts. Mr. van der Heide has helped bring several cases to favorable outcomes through settlement.

Prior to joining Ruiz and Sperow, LLP, Mr. van der Heide had gained practical experience in general civil litigation and legal ethics. He is also the author of "Social Networking and Sexual Predators: The Case for Self-Regulation" which was published in 2008 in the Hastings Communication & Entertainment Law Journal.

Mr. van der Heide graduated cum laude from U.C. Hastings College of the Law with a concentration in civil litigation. During law school he won the Witkin Award for Top Student in Trial Advocacy I and the CALI Award for Top Student in Civil Litigation Concentration Seminar. Mr. van der Heide received a B.A. in Politics from Saint Mary’s College of California.
